D4V CORONA (COVID-19) RELIEF REPORT-2020

D4V – Direction For Volunteers is happy to share our D4V CORONA RELIEF WORK – 2020 completion updates with everyone who had been great pillars behind this successful initiative to serve the people in need during the most uncertain pandemic lockdown period.

We D4V started initially with ₹5000 in hand. It’s with the best wishes and great timely help by our sponsors, donors, supporters, last but not the least our greatest pillar of strength – Volunteers today we proudly served the III Phases of relief to the most vulnerable / deserving people. D4V relief across all 3 phases included Distribution of the following:

• 1556 families with daily groceries (each kit costing approx. between ₹600 and ₹700)
• 200 masks to police officials
• Food to 100 migrants/Destitute people for 2 days
• Covered 17 districts; 1 Union territory in 51 different locations at Tamilnadu, India.
• Relief funds utilized amounted to around 9 Lakhs for 51 requests.

Phase I

Relief was provided as groceries/provisions to 313 families; masks to 100 police officials and food to 100 road side people and migrant workers.
Phase-I covered the most deserving families (Included under privileged – Daily wagers, physically challenged, Transgender, Aged people, Dhobi and traditional artists) from 8 districts and 1 Union Territory across the state.

Phase 1 Relief Details:

• 313 families (Groceries)

• 100 – Masks to Police Officials

Groceries Distribution:

• 18 families at Thiruverkadu, Thiruvallur
• 59 daily wagers families in Narasinganoor, Villupuram
• 21 families at Vengampakkam, Kanchipuram
• 25 daily wagers families at Nagoor, Nagapattinam
• 110 families at Srilankan refugees camp, Mandapam, Ramanathapuram
• 50 fold artists families at Manalur, Mayiladuthurai
• 10 Transgender families supported through Deshna Foundation at Puducherry
• 10 (washer men families+parai Isai music families) under privileged families at Kumbikulam, Tirunelveli
• 12 Aged people at Mukkoodal, Tirunelveli

Volunteering Support for Groceries Distribution by GCC & SIAAP

• 500 families at Tsunami Quarters,Ernavoor, Ennore, Chennai

• 20 families Disabled/Mentally challenged/old people, Vengampakkam, Kanchipuram
• 30 widows ; Physically challenged and their families at Sathiyavani Muthu Nagar, Ennore, Chennai
• 14 families Daily wagers at All India Radio Nagar & Burma Nagar Ennore, Chennai
• 50 Daily wagers families at Vysarpadi, Chennai
• 2 Single families – Daily wagers at Pattabiram, Thiruvallur

Masks Distribution:

• 50 Police Officials at Avadi, Thiruvallur

• 88 Sri Lankan Refugee camp families, Dharmapuri
• 50 Sri Lankan Refugee camp families, Puliyampatti, Pazhani
• 40 Visually Challenged daily wagers families, Thirunidravur, Chennai

• 27 families widow, physically challenged , Kezhvelur, Thiruvarur
• 2 Gas Cylinders for Uthavum ullangal Home ,Maduravoyal
• 50 Transgender , visually challenged, widows families – Gudiyatham, Vellore
• 40 Daily wagers families – Saidapet, jafferkanpet, metupalayam, T. Nagar , Chennai
• 40 Daily wagers families, single old aged families – Kamuthi Ramanathapuram
• 25 Daily wagers families – Pattabiram, Thiruvallur

• 140 tribal Daily wager families (Farming in wild forests – pineapple and Jackfruit cultivation /selling) – Vaazhayathu Vayal, Kanyakumari
